Blank Slate Reimagined
A quiet sanctuary in a new suburban neighborhood
DESIGN
The natural stone walls and native landscaping took a brand new home’s blank slate and connected it back to the ecosystem nearby on the Cumberland River. The two sets of stairs and the stone walls are capped with Oakville Bluff natural stone giving a polished finish to the rich texture of the stone walls. The limestone gravel fire pit is a perfect spot to relax and observe the wildlife visiting the generously planted backyard. Lighting is an important part of a design and this particular project is a perfect example. The corten edged limestone gravel path with soft lighting leads you through the gate and into the backyard, where you are first greeted by a fountain adding soothing sounds to this overall design that delights all of the senses.
